All-Aluminum Build

Aluminum frames are coming back to all the iPhones in the iPhone 17 lineup for the first time since Apple started differentiating between Pro and non-Pro models with the high-end iPhone 17 Pros. This change back to materials represents a change that leads towards a more unified approach, as aluminum frames make their way throughout the device lineup.

Redesigned Rear Camera System

Apple will be revamping the iPhone 17 Pro models with changes to the rear camera module. The camera area will be a unique aluminum bar, like the rest of the device. The iPhone 17 Pro Max could have 12GB of RAM. Another possibility is that all iPhone 17 models will come with 12GB of RAM. This would result in better multitasking and more resources for Apple Intelligence services that would need large language models to be loaded in memory.

Improved Selfie Camera (24MP)

The iPhone 17 will sport a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with a six-element lens, according to the rumours, a big step up from the 12-megapixel camera in the iPhone 14 and 15 and the identical hardware in last year's iPhone 16. The increased resolution will ensure your photos still look good even if you have to crop or zoom in and that six-element lens could have a marginal impact on image quality.

A19 Pro chip

Apple is likely to improve its iPhone 17 series with faster and more efficient chip technology, possibly with an ornate 3-nanometer process.
